We are happy to check the style of your in-text references as we read your work. However, we do charge more for proof-reading reference lists as this is so time-consuming. You will be charged the basic proof-reading rate of £14 per 1,000 words, plus an additional £19 for a list of 1-30 references, and then £0.60 for each reference after that.
We can also cross-check your references for you; that is, ensure that every reference which is on your list should be there, and that you there aren't any references missing. We will do this for free for lists of less than 30 references. For longer lists, we will charge an additional 50p per reference.
Please note that if you are using Harvard referencing, we will ask you for a copy of your institution's guidelines for using this system, as Harvard varies from institute to institute. If you can't provide us with this, we will use Harvard Cite Them Right Version 10, which is the most popular version.
We are also happy to help you reduce your word count if needed. For this service, we add a percentage to your bill for each percentage we take off. For example, if you need a reduction of 20% from your overall word count, this will mean a 20% increase to your final invoice.
Some PGPR clients are universities who require additional amounts of admin to set up payments. As a result, we charge £23 per 1,000 words for proof-reading if payment is coming from a university.
We suggest you send your audio files to us via Tresorit, our preferred secure file transfer service. Tresorit is based in Switzerland and is one of the most secure services of its kind available. All files are encrypted at source and the company has no way of accessing documents you upload or send through their service. They take security and GDPR compliance very seriously, meaning your precious data is safe. You can send files up to 5GB through Tresorit. Follow the instructions for upload and then send the secure link generated to firstname.lastname@example.org
We will also set up a password on the Word file and text it to you as an extra level of security.
Rates for this service start from:
|24 hours turnaround time||£1.90 per minute of audio|
|48 hours turnaround time||£1.65 per minute of audio|
|Five working days turnaround time||£1.30 per minute of audio|
Please note we charge more for interviews/focus groups of more than two people; for poor quality audio; and for speakers with very strong accents.
PGPR now offers an express service. Get in touch for a quote if you absolutely have to have your work returned as quickly as possible.
If you need formatting, we will spend an hour looking at your work for our intial consultation fee, so that we can assess how much work needs to be done. We might be able to fix the problem within that initial hour, depending on the particulars of the job. However, if our experts need more time to fix the issue/s, we will then get back to you with a quote for the rest of the job, based on our hourly rate.
Please note that all work must be paid for before it is returned to you.
PGPR will send you an invoice once your work is booked in. You can either pay via BACS transfer or Stripe. If you're based outside of the UK or using a credit card, let us know and we'll send a Stripe invoice.
